An Evening of Literature and Poetry in the Garden of the Concert Hall

Following last June’s highly successful events in the gardens of the Concert Hall, featuring the poets Kiki Dimoula and Titos Patrikios, we will be holding two major events in the gardens this year: an awarding of prizes by the Diavazo magazine, and a Kavafy evening, featuring major Greek poets. The events will be open to the public without charge.

The evening will begin with the awarding of the Diavazo prizes for literature 2011.

The event will be coordinated by the magazine’s editor, Yiannis Baskozos.

Following the awards ceremony, Greek poets will read from the works of Kavafy, as well as poems by Greek and foreign writers influenced by the great poet of Alexandria.

The event will be coordinated by the poet and professor at the Athens University,
Nasos Vagenas.
