THEATRE AT MEGARON

Co-produced by the Athens Conservatoire and the Athens Concert Hall

Our customary collaboration with the Athens Conservatoire Drama School is renewed for the 2017-2018 Season.

A theatrical performance by third-year students of the Athens Conservatoire Drama School. This year, with the contribution of architecture students attending Stavros Gyftopoulos’ scenic design classes at the National Technical University of Athens (‘Metsovion’), and the participation of all the Drama School teachers as stage directors, this exercise becomes a full-blown performance.
Scenes from Euripides’ The Bacchae, John Ford’s Tis Pity She’s a Whore, Roger Vitrac’s Victor ou les Enfants au pouvoir [Victor, or Power to the Children], Jean-Paul Sartre’s Huis clos [No Exit], and Heiner Müller’s Quartet will be presented first in their original form, and then in two variations in the manner of William Shakespeare, commedia dell’arte, Kabuki, Oscar Wilde, Bertolt Brecht, Harold Pinter, Samuel Beckett, etc.
