Jaime Chirif Watanabe was born in Lima. He studied jazz and composition at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory of Buenos Aires. He teaches composition and arrangement at the EMAD School of Music in Peru and works as a composer and sound designer in audiovisual media. He has worked in projects such as the video game Arrog, which won two awards in Spain and attracted international interest, as well as in the animated miniseries Con la cabeza en las nubes, which reached the final of the Prix Jeunesse Competition in Germany. He has given workshops in Argentina, Peru and abroad, on early childhood, sound and literature.
