At this year’s Day of Music Festival, we will be joined by the Athens State Orchestra, which will present Ludwig van Beethoven’s First Symphony under the young conductor Katia Molfessi, and the Typana Percussion Ensemble (Dimitris Desyllas, Andreas Farmakis, Nikos Metallinos, Marios Mouzakitis, Babis Taliadouros, Dimitris Argyropoulos), which has chosen for its programme the iconic work “Drumming” by Steve Reich. Christina Psycha with her band and Yannis Loukatos and Hot Club de Grèce, who stood out in this year’s Open Platforms, the physical and online auditions of the Athens Concert Hall, an initiative in the context of the GEFYRES cycle, which aims to promote young artists and is implemented in collaboration with the Association of Beneficiaries of Musical Works (EDEM).
