Initially trained as a pianist before moving into composition, Jacob Tardien studied musical analysis, harmony and orchestration in Paris.

From 2012 to 2017, he scored several films for French national television. 2015 saw him write the music to Roberto Minervini’s “The Other Side”, which was selected at the Cannes Film Festival. Since 2017, he has been working with a range of international film and television directors, where his work has been shortlisted and won awards. In 2020, he won best soundtrack at the Berlin Sci-fi Film Festival for “4D” by the Hayes Brothers.
