Before, during and after the Rolex Arts Festival closing concert in the Megaron Garden, the public will be invited to experience a free sound installation by Australian composer-performer  Ben Frost, a Rolex Music fellow mentored by Brian Eno. Created specially for Megaron’s Alexandra Trianti Hall stage, the installation will envelop visitors in a shifting soundscape realised by more than forty speakers suspended overhead, accompanied by synchronised led lighting designed by George Tellos and special effects. The audience will be free to enter and exit anytime, and access to the installation is free.

Programme notes
Through this new work, Frost questions what constitutes “nature”, inviting reflection on our complex relationship with the natural world. Combined with light, the shifting positions of individual sound frequencies in space creates a constantly evolving harmonic environment, conjuring a new kind of sonic ecology; physical, living and breathing.
