Eternal lover of wandering, the multitalented oud soloist, pianist and composer Alekos Vretos draws inspiration from the great tradition of the Mediterranean. Sounds of the East and the West, familiar and unfamiliar, are rediscovered through the prism of jazz, creating a unique idiom. Alekos Vretos, joined by accomplished jazz musicians such as Yannis Diskos, Dimitris Verdinoglou and Dinos Manos, presents his old and new compositions, together with works from the Arabic, Armenian and Turkish repertoire, in a musical journey of exploration and enjoyment.
