German and French music differ in many fundamental ways. Yet, in a paradoxical way, some German musicians have been extraordinary, if not ideal, interpreters of French music, and some French musicians the other way round. The famous French violinist Renaud Capuçon and his rising compatriot pianist Guillaume Bellom fall into this category, both of whom noted for their deep and robust approach to the German repertoire.
