A subversive musical performance that outlines the artistic portrait of Nikos Portokaloglou “differently”, with a different – symphonic sound, illuminating his songs from another side, rediscovering them! A unique meeting of different musical worlds: the songwriting of Nikos Portokaloglou with elements of folk and traditional singing, but also rock and blues, with the sound of his own band, as well as the symphonic sound of the orchestra representing the classical Western tradition. The central pillar of the show is the meeting of musicians of all generations on stage. From the generation of the 80s, to which the singer-songwriter belongs, to the generations of the future, represented by the members of the Choir and the Symphony Orchestra. Singing with him are his multi-talented collaborator Vyron Tsourapis, the exceptional young performer Myrto Vassiliou and, as a special guest, the one and only Yorgos Perris. The idea for the concert started from a proposal of the Cultural Centre of the Central Macedonia Region, through Anna Myconiou and Thanasis Kolalas and was presented at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall in November 2022 under the title “Formal Attire“.
