Minos Matsas, the award-winning composer who has been fascinating and moving us with his melodies for the last 30 years, presents on Thursday 7 March his symphonic music with works he has composed for film and theatre.

An evening dedicated to Women’s Day.

The National Symphony Orchestra of ERT, conducted by Miltos Loyadis, will participate.

“With a story that I wanted to tell with my music since I was a child. With a story about every woman that emerges through the works of cinema and theatre.

The listener can travel, dream and ultimately create their own story. This is, after all, the magic of music: it spreads its wings and takes on a life of its own, escaping from the images that gave birth to it.

Εftichia – the emancipated woman-poet of our folk song, Eleni – Kazantzakis’ companion and muse, Great Catherine – the iconic female figure in power, Petra von Kant, Fassbinder’s demonic and enigmatic figure, are some of the portraits of women I have been lucky enough to paint musically in recent years. ”
