The 10th Athens International Poetry Festival of the Poets’ Circle begins on Monday 23 September with the screening of the documentary “Poetry finds you”. Fourteen Greek and foreign poets, on stage, seated at a table, read their poems. Gogo Brembou recites. Red wine is served to the poets. At the same time, images are projected on the screen, while live music with melodies complements the atmosphere. An evening of words, sounds, lyrics, music, movement, video. Poetry now more than ever, and not only at poetry festivals. Because poetry is not an art by the wayside, but the pot of culture. At the 10th Athens International Poetry Festival we hear the languages of many nations listening to the anxieties of the planet.
