VIVE LA FRANCE!

Camille Marie Stamaty (1811-1870), a famous pianist and educator (teacher of Saint- Saëns among others), and Mario Foscarina – Damaschino (1850-1921), a talented but little-known Greek woman composer, both lived and flourished in Paris, the European music capital of the 19th century. The program focuses on their compositions and is complemented by works of composers who were their contemporaries and acquaintances.
