VIVE LA FRANCE!

Generously supported by L’institut français de Grèce

Upon the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of Claude Debussy, a great Paris-based pianist presents a tribute to French music that proves the existence of a hidden common thread running through the work of three top composers: Debussy, Dutilleux, and Ravel. She plays Debussy’s Suite bergamasque and parts of his Images as well as extracts from Dutilleux’s Au gré des ondes. Chara Iacovidou has recorded, among other things, works by Ravel; his Valses nobles and sentimentales and the second movement of his Miroirs will conclude the recital.
