WITH A TWIST
After the release of his first album entitled Eight Winds by ECM Records as well as some very successful appearances in Europe, Sokratis Sinopoulos enriches his musical palette by adapting both old and new material for his quartet and a string quartet. The obvious and the hidden influences of the classical sound upon the work of Sinopoulos stand out here as he bridges, through the timeless sound of his lyre, the gap between the tone colours of the classical strings of the Athens String Quartet and the improvisations of his own quartet.
