ACCORDION

‘Aria and reflections’ – the Variations, through their echoes, which inspire new compositions three centuries later, and their precursors, three centuries ago.
One of the greatest works of Western music, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations are performed in Greece for the first time on the accordion. They are juxtaposed with a contemporary expression of variations – Finnish composer’s Jukka Tiensuu’s Erz, in an exciting mix with the most austere as well as anarchic canons by Guillaume de Machaut.

– Guillaume de Machaut: Ma fin est mon commencement
– Jukka Tiensuu: Swell
– Guillaume de Machaut: Gais et jolis
– Jukka Tiensuu: Desire
– Guillaume de Machaut: Dix et sept, cinq
– Jukka Tiensuu: Zeal
– Matteo da Perugia: Andrey Soulet
– Jukka Tiensuu: Trick
– Johannes Walther: Secundi Toni
– Jukka Tiensuu: Breeze
– J.S. Bach: Goldberg-Variationen, Aria and 30 variations, BWV 988
