The bandoneon, with its sweet and sensuous sound, is identified with Latin American music, and especially with Ástor Piazzolla’s compositions. Internationally acclaimed accordion and bandoneon virtuoso Richard Galliano collaborates with the Athens State Orchestra in the dual capacity of composer and soloist, offering us a unique opportunity to enjoy the distinctive timbre of the bandoneon live and in a soloist role.
