ACCORDION
A folk instrument that has become a medium of serious musical expression, the accordion has enormous technical capabilities. Tonight it will be used like a painter’s brush that applies rich, passionate colours on the canvas of the piano, uniquely rendering Manos Hadjidakis’ balanced sensibility, embracing the rebetiko song of Tsitsanis, and evoking the collective consciousness of Greek folk songs.
