For the seventh consecutive year the International Music Competition for the Animation film “CANARY” by Chrysoula Korovesi and Marios Gambierakis is organized by Megaron the Athens Concert Hall as part of the GEFYRES Series.
The very large number of participants, from Greece and abroad, every year demonstrates the intense interest of creators – young and not only – in film music, and even more so in Animation films, which leave a wide field of freedom, imagination and compositional creation. Following the outstanding success of last year’s competition, the Megaron announces this year’s competition with the film “Canary” by the creators Chrysoula Korovesi and Marios Gabiérakis, who wrote the script, directed it and did the animation.

- Alex Sid (Alexandros Sidiropoulos),Composer, TV and Film Composer / Songwriter
The top ten entries will be chosen and presented on the Megaron website on Thursday, 16 May 2024.
Three prize winners will be chosen and will be supported by a broad range of promotional initiatives. The top 25 entries will be hosted on a special Megaron online Platform and the Megaron’s Youtube Channel.
Closing date for entries: 15 March 2024, 17:00 (Greek time).
