An onstage meeting of Agathonas, a genuine representative of the rebetika songs, and fine musician Katerina Tsiridou, who invite us to a surprise musical performance! Behind Elias Karellas’ lit-up screen, Karagiozis converses with Vamvakaris, Hadjichristos, Ninou, Tsitsanis, Eskenazy, and Papaioannou, who tell us hilarious stories about their lives and careers.
A melodic survey of the major songwriters and singers of the rebetika, and the Greek popular music tradition, rich in humour and live music, with the Karagiozis shadow-theatre figures and all-time favourite jokes.
