VIOLIN

In collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute

Even before turning 30, violinist Francesca Dego received an array of accolades, including at the Paganini Competition 2008, and became a rising power in the world music scene. She collaborates with great orchestras and plays the most demanding works for violin – from Paganini’s Caprices, her debut recording for Deutsche Grammophon, to contemporary composer Alfred Schnittke’s A Paganini and Eugène Ysaÿe’s virtuosic Second Sonata

– Eugène Ysaÿe: Sonata no. 2 in A minor, op. 27
– Alfred Schnittke: A Paganini for solo violin
– Niccolò Paganini: From the 24 Caprices for Solo Violin, op. 1: nos 13-24
