Greek and international groups- Rebetien, Kosmokrators, Trio Katara and the Rebetiki Band, try to find the links of the Rebetiko in the 21st century. This popular song born during the 19th century in the ports, in the poor neighborhoods, and the prisons, has sometimes been compared with the Blues or the Portuguese Fados. It has gone in and out of fashion but never become a dead tradition for the museums. Young musicians, composers and performers pass the baton in a surprising way the one to the other, reviving it unpredictably here in Greece and in other countries around the world..
