The “Hellenic Society for the Study & Research of Aging” (www.eemeg.gr) and “ANTAMA Social Cooperative Enterprise” (www.antama.gr), under the auspices of the “European Gereatric Medicine Society” (www.eugms.org), invite you to the “Intergenerational Festive Day” that will take place, Sunday 10th October 2021 (from 10.00 to 18.00), in Athens Concert Hall Garden.

The Intergenerational festive Day precedes and introduces the 17th Congress of the European Geriatric Medicine Society- “Growing old in better health- Building synergies across Europe” that will be held on October 11-13 in Megaron Athens International Conference Center- MAICC and will broadcast the latest and most significant instances of Healthcare, Science and Research with medical scientists from all over the world.The importance of the specialized medical treatment of older people has become even more prominent in recent years, with the appearance of  COVID 19 pandemic but also with the demographic aging of the greek population. The Congress is an effort of awareness to the local medical community and political authorities regarding the pressing need to develop a geriatric approach under European criteria towards the health problems of older individuals in Greece.

The aim of the Intergenerational Festive day is to raise the awareness of all people regarding the importance of intergenerational contacts, interaction and solidarity and to showcase how all this together can help reduce age racism and form a society that is inclusive and equal to all!
