Anton Bruckner’s symphonies are robust musical architectures that some liken –not unjustly so– to Europe’s great cathedrals: each one is an entire world in itself, which successfully draws us to become immersed in the most profound thoughts and the most subtle emotions. Lucas Karytinos leads the ASO in the Sixth Symphony, considered one of Brukner’s most masterful works. Before that, the multifaceted Brazilian pianist Jean Louis Steuerman performs Robert Schumann’s concerto, a timeless favourite of both pianists and audiences.
