CHRISTMAS AT THE CONCERT HALL

A fresh reading of a Baroque music milestone, J. S. Bach’s emblematic Christmas Oratorio, performed by Les Musiciens du Louvre on period instruments. Founded in 1982 by the 19-year-old Mark Minkowski, the ensemble has greatly contributed to the revival of early music in France. Its repertory has expanded to include compositions from the classical and romantic periods invested with the subtleness of playing characteristic of the ensemble’s musicians.
