THE CONCERT IS POSTPONED DUE TO ILLNESS.

Between the glorious romantic peaks to which Schubert, Schumann and Brahms led the German lied and the expressionistic songs of the Second Viennese School, there is a period time during which the German scholarly song seems to balance over the abyss. The tonality expands but has not yet been overwhelmingly abolished, the romantic mood reaches its limits, and a new musical language is gestated without having been fully formed yet. Typical examples of this fascinating swinging between the old and the new, the romantic and the modern, are presented by acclaimed Greek lyrical artists, to Nikos Athineos’ consummate piano accompaniment.
