“Aether looks like a matrix of LEDs programmed to dance to the rhythm of the music.” Creators Project

Northern Ireland-born music producer Max Cooper holds a prominent place in the electronic scene. An artistic personality with great creative curiosity and sensibility, he is inspired by the science of genetics and approaches concepts such as emergence, identity and infinity through his extraordinary and complex musical creations. The result is an abstract musical narrative in which art, architecture and science interact in the most striking way. Aether is a 3D sound/visual light field installation created in collaboration with design studio Architecture Social Club. A vivid audio-visual experience that captivates you as it highlights the beauty, intensity and emotions evoked by fundamental forms and sounds from the surrounding space: waves, surfaces, symmetries, surreal landscapes – a contemporary interpretation of the luminous aether. Max Cooper and the Architecture Social Club have been experimenting for years on a new type of audiovisual experience. Aether is the culmination of this research.

Strobe lights and a smoke machine are used during the performance
