The fully expanded and upgraded “Megaron Listens” auditions programme of the BRIDGES Cycle, in collaboration with the Music Works’ Rightsholders Cooperative (EDEM), continues its activities in 2022 with online (video streaming) and physical auditions, inviting participations from Greek musicians living in Greece and abroad, as well as from foreign musicians who live permanently in Greece. Previous auditions have brought to the public’s attention ensembles that stood out for their interpretation, technique, originality and evolution potential. These ensembles appear at Megaron, performing a diverse and colourful range of musical works. The Choir on the Stairs vocal ensemble performs traditional songs from all over the world. The Guitar 4-Tune quartet presents works by 20th and 21st century composers. The Music Virus orchestra presents a program of jazz, soul and funk music. A concert that reveals the largely unknown aspects and the high level of young Greek and foreign musicians, whom Megaron supports in practice.
