THEATRE AT MEGARON – NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE

James McAvoy (X–Men, Atonement) in a new, free adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac, plainly directed in a modern idiom.
Admirable with a pen and formidable in combat, Cyrano almost has it all—if only he could win the heart of his true love Roxane! There is just one apparently insurmountable problem: his nose is as large as his heart! Will this narcissistic society get the better of Cyrano, or can his mastery of language set Roxane’s world alight?
Edmond Rostand’s classic in an adaptation that places particular emphasis on linguistic ingenuity, and celebrates the hero’s almost superhuman resistance against overwhelming odds.

By Edmond Rostand, in a new version by Martin Crimp
Directed by Jamie Lloyd
