GREAT INTERPRETERS

Elisabeth Leonskaja in the last recital of the Schubert Sonatas Cycle, which coincides with the completion of her recording of the full series.

The incomplete youthful Sonata in C major composed by eighteen-year-old Schubert is followed by another unfinished Sonata, in F minor, written three years later, and completed by pianists Paul Badura-Skoda and Martino Tirimo in their respective editions. The meditative last Sonata in B-flat major crowns the cycle. A momentous meeting between a great Romantic composer and a superb pianist.
