As Hellenism already counts the memories of one hundred years since the Asia Minor tragedy, The Friends of Music Society presents a special tribute to the composers born in Asia Minor and Constantinople around the turn of the 19th century. The most important of them, Manolis Kalomoiris, passed away sixty years ago and was born on a day like today, December 14,1883. Two distinguished singers, Mina Polychronou and Elena Marangou, accompanied by Dimitris Giakas on the piano, perform songs written by composers Manolis Kalomoiris (Smyrna), Konstantinos Nikolopoulos (Smyrna), Timotheos Xanthopoulos (Smyrna), Ioannis Konstantinidis (Smyrna), Michalis Sougioul (Aydın), Petros Petridis (Niğde) and Giorgos Poniridis (Constaninople).
