The series of children’s songs The Lazy Dragon by Giorgos Chatzipieris has been with us for eighteen years now. Counting five recordings and over two hundred million views on YouTube, it continues to enjoy an overwhelming acceptance by the public – children and adults alike. Many of the songs in the series have become classics, are included in formal teaching material and form consistently part of the repertoire of children’s choirs. This year, the Lazy Dragon decided to celebrate his coming of age at Megaron. His magical world comes alive on the stage of Alexandra Trianti Hall, full of action and brimming with humour, twists, joy and emotions. A performance of high standard, with an orchestra composed of ten acclaimed musicians, a children’s choir, dancers, video screenings, surprises and, most of all, love and respect for the audience. After Nicosia International Festival (November 2022) and Thessaloniki Concert Hall (December 2022), where it was hugely successful, the performance is now presented in Athens, where the beloved songs of the series, among which “The Little Elephant”, “Ya ta pa ta”, “The Fox”, “Little worm”, “The Mountain”, “The Ice Cream Maker”, “The Rooster Wakes Up” and many more, will be heard live for the first time.
