A feud between the king and queen of fairies further complicates the lives of two couples of lovers who take refuge in a forest of Athens. Mortals and immortals fall in love, quarrel, swap identities and chase each other in a fairy tale with comical as well as romantic scenes that lead to unpredictable situations.
