Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall, was selected by Estée Lauder Companies to symbolize the #TimeToEndBreastCancer by being lit up in pink, on 8th October 2020.
The Estée Lauder Companies campaign for awareness and prevention of breast cancer started in 1992 by Evelyn H. Lauder, who co-created the pink ribbon campaign.
On Thursday, 8th October, in a ceremony closed to the public in keeping with the Covid-19 prevention measures, the lighting ceremony took place under the sounds of October, composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos. The ceremony was broadcast live from the Estée Lauder Greece and the Megaron Athens Concert Hall facebook pages and the Estée Lauder Greece YouTube Channel.
