Thodoris Papadimitriou is a composer, conductor and cellist, a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master’s degree in orchestral conducting from the University of Hull. He conducts the orchestras of the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki and has conducted MOYSA (Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall) in several productions. He is a member of The Prefabricated Quartet and composes music for theatre and cinema. The composition for Elevator Alone was developed as part of the 5HM3 and 7HM3 elective courses of the Film Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he teaches as an assistant professor. The award is dedicated to the students of the courses.
